Boyfriend Camera Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 25, 2026
Boyfriend Camera is operated by Promptbox. This policy explains how the iPhone app handles information when users capture, review, score, edit, and save photos.
Information the App Processes
The app processes camera preview frames, captured photos, photos selected by the user from the photo picker, prompt text entered for AI photo edits, composition choices, optional language settings, saved edit history during the current app flow, and local app settings such as whether the user has allowed AI features.
AI Features and Third-Party Processing
When the user allows AI features, Boyfriend Camera sends photo data to Promptbox API helpers at promptbox.cn. Photo scoring sends resized camera preview frames, selected composition rules, and the optional language setting to the Promptbox photo_score helper. AI editing sends the selected photo and the user's edit prompt to the Promptbox image_gen_gemini helper. The Promptbox helpers process these requests with Google Gemini AI services to return photo scores, suggestions, or edited images.
The app asks for permission before enabling AI features. The user can decline and avoid sending photo data to the AI helpers.
Face Data
Photos and camera preview frames may contain faces. Boyfriend Camera does not create face templates, faceprints, biometric identifiers, face-recognition profiles, or face geometry measurements. The app does not identify people, authenticate people, or compare faces. Face-containing images are used only as ordinary photo pixels for AI photo scoring, composition suggestions, and user-requested AI edits.
Face-containing images may be shared with Promptbox API helpers at promptbox.cn and processed by Google Gemini AI services only to provide the requested score, suggestion, or edited image. The app does not store face data separately from the photo, and it does not sell face data.
Camera and Photo Library Access
Camera access is used to show the live preview, capture photos, and provide AI scoring after the user allows AI features. Photo library access is used only when the user chooses a photo for editing or saves a selected photo or edit to the user's photo library.
Data Collection, Use, and Sharing
Promptbox uses uploaded photo data, prompts, composition choices, and optional language settings only to provide the requested AI score, suggestion, or edited image. The app does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking. Promptbox does not sell user photos, prompts, or face data.
Promptbox shares AI feature requests with Google Gemini AI services through Promptbox server-side helpers. Promptbox requires third-party AI providers used for these features to protect request data under privacy and security protections that are the same or stronger than those described in this policy.
Retention and Deletion
Photos and edits remain on the user's device or in the user's photo library when saved. Temporary in-app photos and edit history are cleared when the app flow is closed or the app is removed. The AI permission setting and optional language setting are stored locally on the device until changed by the user or the app is removed.
Promptbox AI helpers process uploaded photos, prompts, and preview frames transiently to complete the request. Promptbox does not intentionally retain uploaded photos, face-containing images, or edit prompts after the request completes, except for short-lived technical processing and operational security/error logs. Operational logs may include timestamps, helper names, status codes, and error details, but are not intended to store full uploaded photos or face data.
AI and Smart Suggestions
Boyfriend Camera may show automated photo-quality suggestions, composition hints, scores, and AI edits. These results are best-effort and may be wrong. Users should review photos and edits before saving or sharing them.
Children
Boyfriend Camera is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
User Choices
Users can deny camera or photo permissions in iOS Settings. Users can decline the in-app AI permission prompt to avoid sending photo data to Promptbox AI helpers. Users can delete saved photos from their photo library and can remove the app to delete local app data.
